Ducted System

Ducted Split Air Conditioning systems provide the ability to heat and cool an entire building via hidden ductwork supplying inconspicuous low profile air outlets. The heating and cooling power is provided by efficient split reverse cycle inverter technology.

A ducted split system consists of an indoor fan and heating/cooling coil unit “spilt” from the refrigerated outdoor unit which provides the cooling and heating power. The indoor and outdoor units are connected via refrigerant grade high pressure pipe and electrical cables.

Duct work is connected to the outlet of the indoor fan/coil unit which distributes conditioned air to all rooms requiring heating and cooling. The indoor unit is usually mounted in the ceiling cavity above or in the floor space below an occupied space keeping it out of sight and out of mind. The air is delivered into the space via air outlet registers which are available in a wide range of decorative finishes which will meet your decor while providing functionality.

The split capability allows for the Indoor unit to be located where it is most needed. This also allows for the Outdoor unit to be mounted in a location where it has minimal impact on the aesthetic and environmental aspects of a building.

Ducted Split Air Conditioners also allow for the provision of ducted inline dampers to be installed which allows conditioned air to be “shut off” to rooms which do not require conditioned air at all times during the day. This has the added benefit of reducing installation and operating costs making this type of system environmentally and economically efficient.
